As part of the FLG's multi-pronged approach to preserving and protecting Lake Glenville, we have undertaken several restocking campaigns aimed at maintaining and potentially improving the fishing opportunities on the lake. Read on to learn more and see a video of the release!
This past October, we released 350 brown trout, each approximately 13-16 inches long, which were purchased from Cantrell Creek Trout Farm in Brevard.
FLG member Richard Tyre with the help of some board members oversaw last fall's release, which took place in several places around the lake rather than just one single release. The overall goal is to keep the population up in the lake to make it a great place to fish. 2018 marked FLG's second release after receiving permits to do so in 2017. FLG plans on doing this yearly.
