Info for Recreational Access to Lake Glenville
Public Beach Access
The Lake Glenville Pine Creek Access area features a swimming beach, picnic area, and fishing pier. Currently open only through the summer season starting Memorial Day weekend, it's located across the road from the access trail to the Cullowhee High Falls.
Visitors will appreciate the family-oriented amenities and the numerous wildflower species that start blooming in April. Please note, though, that it is prohibited to feed any wildlife you encounter at the beach, including ducks, geese, etc.
Boat Ramp Access
There are two boat launches available to the public. Both are located on Lake Glenville in Cullowhee, NC (Jackson County).
Powerhouse
The Powerhouse ramp features a concrete surface with 1 launch lane. This ramp is ADA accessible. Parking is available, with 14 spaces, including trailer parking. This ramp is suitable for motorboat, canoe, kayak. Managed by DUKE ENERGY PROGRESS. Directions and more information are available here.
Pine Creek
